ROTARIANS from Calgary in Canada visited members of the Helensburgh and Garelochside Rotary club to see the work that they do.

Rotary president Sheenah Nelson met with the group at the Argyll and Bute Civic Centre in Helensburgh on August 10 where she also installed a new defibrillator.

President Sheenah Nelson presented Provost Len Scoullar with a defibrillator to be installed at the Helensburgh Civic Centre.

Sheenah said: “We are trying to install defibrillators in as many central and easy to reach locations as we can so that no-one is far from one at any given time.

“They do make a difference and they can save lives, they saved one recently. We just need to give people the confidence to actually do something and to know where to find the machines should an emergency arise.”
