AROUND 70 children visited the Maid of the Loch over the weekend to take part in an Easter egg hunt.
Those who participated searched around the slipway and the pier to find the sweet treats.
A spokesperson for the Maid said: “The Easter egg hunt went really well.
“It complimented the celebrations going on at Loch Lomond Shores. Lots of people were visiting there and then coming over to us.
“In the same weekend, the children got to see the Winch House going, so that just adds to the attraction.”
The hunt was part of a programme of events which were launched on April 16 as the site reopened for the season.
Ship on the Slip will see a number of events and experiences offered to the public whilst the vessel remains under restoration on the slipway at Balloch.
As part of this programme, a new model ship exhibition will be hosted on board this year, displaying Lachie Stewart’s collection of models which has been meticulously built over the past 60 years.
The spokesperson added: “It’s been a long winter but we’ve been working really hard and the volunteers have been doing a great job to restore the ship.
“All of our volunteer guides are keen to get back, so they’re happy that the tours are back and that there’s a lot on offer this season.”
