COVE and Kilcreggan held their first-ever 10k at the weekend, with participants from across the area.
Almost 160 runners and 80 walkers set off in the blazing sunshine "with smiles and good cheer", said organisers.
Along the way, they had musical cheering from Roddy Gardener and Harvey and Annie Ferguson on pipes from Helensburgh Pipe Band.
For many runners, it was their first 10k and not easy in hot conditions - quite apart from the hills to overcome.
One runner said: "It's one of the best 10ks ever."
Participants included staff from the Dr Mclachlan and Partners Medical Practice and Millig Practice in Helensburgh.
Victoria Wassell and Jenni Beavis, who work at the Helensburgh Property Bureau, walked for the Beatson Cancer charity and Accord Hospice.
The winner of the 10k was Michael Miller from Clydesdale Harriers in a time of 38.27. And the first female runner was Caroline Drew from Wild Horizon Running in 47.58.
The first over-50 male was Keith Hood in 40. 22 and first female over-50 was Fiona Balfour in 52.28.
The first local runners were Fergal Kelly in 44.43 and Caroline Drew in 47.58, and the first U21 was Arthur Mortlock in 53.11 and first female U21 was Cara Schmautz in 1hr 4 mins 5 secs.
Cakes were supplied by Casa Clynder, sports massage therapist Craig from Lomond Clinic was on hand for a rub and Stephen and Karen Clayton from Kilcreggan Post Office were on hand with their information and merchandise on Kilcreggan Community Hub.
Organisers said: "It looks like this will become an annual event so put it in the diary."
