More than 100 volunteers from Helensburgh and Lomond got together to give each other a "group hug" celebrating Volunteers' Week.
Helensburgh Community Hub and Visiting Friends organised the lunch to thank those who give up their time, both formally and informally, to help their community.
About 130 volunteers from across more than 20 local organisations, and others who volunteer informally, enjoyed good food as well as the chance to mingle and chat with others.
Hub development manager Gill Simpson said: "It was the most amazingly joyful and lovely afternoon that completely surpassed our expectations. We were blown away with how many people came along.
"The idea was inspired by a conversation with a volunteer some months ago who said 'wouldn't it be nice to just to get people together and have a kind of group hug with lunch' - so that's exactly what we did.
"As someone who has worked in the third sector herself we were also delighted that Jacke Baillie could join us.
"There was a huge amount of planning and preparation that went into putting on such a great spread and I would really like to thank Jayne Burnett and Debbie Bengs from Visiting Friends, photographer Kath Polley, Hub trustee Kim Phillips and Book Nook volunteer Lynne Tillyard for all their hard work. We put a lot of hours in putting things on fancy cocktail sticks."
Gill added: "We are hoping that this will become an annual event and next year we would like to take things up a notch by also being able to invite those people who volunteer with bigger third sector organisations such as service organisations, charity shops and uniformed groups."
