Helensburgh Heritage Trust have revealed details of their upcoming series of talks – with the first planned for later this month.

The Trust's 2023/ 2024 season will kick off with Iain Talman’s ‘Craigendoran and its Steamers’ talk on Wednesday, September 27.

Six talks have been arranged, with taking place one each month between September and March - with the exception of December.

All talks will take place in the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre on East Clyde Street at 7.30pm.

September 27: Iain Talman, 'Craigendoran and its Steamers'

October 25: Marion Maudsley on 'The Glasgow Boys – and Girls – in Helensburgh' [to be preceded by the AGM]

November 29: Bruce Keith, 'Are We Nearly There Yet?'

January 31: David Bruce on 'Mr William Kidston’s Jaunt to Egypt and the Holy Land 1856-57'

February 28, 2024: Alasdair Jamison, subject to be confirmed

March 27, 2024: Stewart Noble, 'The History of Helensburgh’s Railways'

All events are free to attend and those who come along will be invited to make a modest donation.
