Three separate men were caught allegedly speeding on the same strech of road near Loch Lomond last week.

The first man, 34, from Greenock, was reportedly found to be travelling at 50mph around 10pm on October 20 on the A83 at Ballyhennan Crescent in Tarbet.

Two days later, according to police, a 40-year-old from Paisley was allegedly caught driving at 62mph, at 10.16pm on October 22.

And just over 25 minutes later, a 23-year-old man from Dumbarton was reportedly charged with dangerous driving after driving at 68mph.

The stretch of the A83 at Ballyhennan Crescent has a 30mph limit.

In September, the Advertiser reported how former Rangers and Scotland football legend Ally McCoist had been fined for speeding on that very stretch of the A83.

He was clocked driving there at 48mph on January 6 - and also spotted driving at 55mph in a separate 30mph zone, a short distance away in Arrochar, on the same day.

The 61-year-old was fined a total of £510 for the two offences during a hearing at the Justice of the Peace Court in Dumbarton.
