Connection is at the heart of everything we do at Helensburgh Community Hub.

And for good reason, as there is a huge amount of research showing that connection helps people’s wellbeing - some research suggests improving the number of your social relationships reduces your risk of death by as much as giving up smoking.

So a community hub like ours is the ideal place to help create and maintain social connections, whether it’s being part of a craft or photography club, joining a gentle yoga session, coming to the Menopause Café or men’s talking group. It can just be as simple as popping into the Book Nook for a chat and a cuppa.

Helping to connect people was the theme of short film that we made this year to launch the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisation’s #EssentialSector campaign. It gives just a flavour of what goes on at the Hub and how much it benefits the people who come here.

We are here for everyone and anyone because when we are more connected we are happier, healthier and more resilient both as individuals and as a community.

So there will always be a warm welcome for you in the Helensburgh Community Hub.

Have a wonderful Christmas and I hope to see you in 2024.
